Why Central?

I chose Central because I love the small town feel. I really loved the campus and how small the class sizes were. When I came on my visit everyone was just so nice and welcoming.

Favorite professor and why?

My favorite professor would probably be Dr. Shuger Fox. She just brings so much energy in to her classes, you can tell she is passionate about what she teaches.  She is an awesome Professor and I could literally talk to her about anything.

In your iPod?

Pretty much everything from George Strait to Eminem to Nelly. I pretty much like all types of music, I mostly listen to country though.

You’re majoring in exercise science because?

I’m majoring in Exercise Science because I love learning how the body works and moves, especially with athletics. It’s a great area to be involved and help people.

What is the chore you absolutely hated doing as a kid?

I hated making my bed when I was a kid. I still struggle with making my bed to this day.

What is the biggest different between living in Colorado and Iowa?

The biggest difference is definitely not being able to look to the west and see the mountains. Also, the humidity is way worse here than back at home.

What is the best concert you’ve ever been to?

Probably Luke Bryan a couple years ago! It was pouring rain so he had to sing acoustically and it was absolutely amazing… and let’s be honest, he’s fun to look at…

Favorite celebrity when you were a kid?

Not really a celebrity, but the person who I looked up to a ton was Kerri Walsh. She was idol when I used to play volleyball.

What is your favorite quote or saying and why do you like it?

One of my favorite quotes is, “ The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why” –Mark Twain. I absolutely love this quote because it means that everyone that is born into this world has a purpose and although we all might figure out what that purpose is at different times, we all figure it out and we all have a place in this world.

Most embarrassing moment at a track meet?

Last year when I won hammer for Outdoor Conference we were handed medals at the end of the meet. I was on the tallest podium and I was still shorter than the girl who was on the shorter second place podium. I looked so tiny and completely out of place, it was ridiculous. I still look at the pictures now and laugh every time.

What is the one track and field event that you would never want to try?

I don’t think I would ever want to try hurdles. I would probably biff it every single time I tried to go over one.

The one thing people don’t about Coach Brenda Fuller

Coach Fuller has coached 15 All-Americans

Why do you love Central track and field?

I love Central Track and Field because we are all one BIG happy family. Everyone competes and works for each other! I absolutely love my coaches and my fellow throwers. They are some of the best people out there!

“Ten years from now I’ll...”

Ten years from now I’ll be married with a few kids. I’ll have my dream job living in Colorado and I’ll have a big house in the mountains secluded from the world.

Favorite food from Central Market

That one’s easy. The country fried steak!

Bucket list

Travel the world, go to Ireland and Australia for sure, see the northern lights, and go to an airport and buy tickets for a random flight.
