Bradon Annegers
Stronghurst, Illinois
Class of 2024

1. Why did you choose Central?
I chose Central because I am from a small town and wasn’t looking for a big college town. I was
also looking for a small school where I could develop close relationships with my professors and continue
to play basketball.

2. Favorite professor and why?
This is a tough question because there are so many options but I’m gonna have to go with Dr.
Mena. I’ve taken every class I could with her, done research with her for multiple semesters, and just
love the way she teaches. She’s always willing to help with whatever you need and she's just really
awesome.

3. You’re majoring in biology because?
I plan to attend medical school and majoring in biology seemed like the best option.

4. Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?
I am involved in FCA and NSLS.

5. Who are you go to musical artists?
My favorite artist is probably Jordan Davis or Florida Georgia Line.

6. How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?
Attending Central and playing basketball has had such a positive impact on my life. Mainly
through providing me opportunities to develop friendships that will last a lifetime. Attending Central has
also provided me with a high quality education.

7. Favorite NBA player?
My favorite NBA player is probably LeBron James. This will probably get a lot of hate from some
people but what can I say, he’s the GOAT.

8. Most 3-pointers you’ve ever made in a row?
Honestly, I’ve never walked into the gym and just decided to make as many as I can in a row but I
think there was one time my junior year after practice where I made like 17 in a row or something like
that.

9. Teammate most likely to win on American Ninja Warrior
First take of this it’s definitely Kade. I mean he’s from Colorado so he’s got to be good at that
kind of stuff right? But then I start to think about it some more and then I think that Kaleb might have a
good shot at it too. So it’s either Kade or Kaleb.

10. What words of wisdom would you pass on to your childhood self?
Words of wisdom that I would pass on to my childhood self would definitely be don’t give up and
don’t be afraid to fail. You never know what could happen as long as you keep going and the only way
you can truly learn is from failing.

11. Favorite TV Show
100% Criminal Minds with a close second being Castle. I think a lot of people already know this
but I’ve watched every episode of both like 5 or 6 times.

12. What’s it like to play for Coach Steinkamp?
Playing for Coach Steinkamp is great. When we found out he was going to be the new coach I
think everyone was pretty excited to see what he could do for this program. He’s very passionate about
the game and I think he’s done a great job so far. I think the transition to a new coach could’ve been
pretty rough but he and coach Riordan have made it really easy.

13. What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central basketball?
By far in a way my favorite part is developing the relationships with my teammates that will last
forever. Another favorite thing is the memories that I’ll have for the rest of my life from all the time spent
with teammates at practices, games, and tournaments.

14. What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
Hopefully 10 years from now I will have graduated medical school and finished up residency and
begun to look for a place to settle down and start a family. It’s a long and winding road ahead of me and
I’m not really sure where I’ll end up but that’s the plan for now.

15. Favorite food from Central Market
Definitely has to be cooked to order omelets. Walking into the market and seeing that it is
cooked to order omelets for breakfast is a definite game changer.

16. Bucket list
Something that I’ve always wanted to do for as long as I remember is visit Australia. I’m not
really sure when or why this became a thing but I definitely want to visit one day. Another thing that’s
pretty high on my bucket list to visit all 50 states.
