LONG GROVE— For the second year in a row, Central College women's golfer
Allie Pfantz (State Center, West Marshall HS) earned American Rivers All-Conference honors with a top-10 finish at the 2025 American Rivers Conference Championships.
Pfantz finished in a tie for fourth place with a score of 78-79-81—238.
"Honestly, she didn't feel like she was playing the best," coach
Mackenzie Biggs said. "Even when things weren't working for, she did a good job of keeping it together. I was proud to see her stick it out and claim a top-five finish. It's huge for a sophomore to be all-conference for the second time in a row."
The University of Dubuque claimed the team title at 310-306-321—937. Central moved up to seventh place after the third round and finished with a score of 350-334-342—1026.
Junior
Mickey Martens (Villa Park, Ill., Willowbrook HS) finished in 19th place with an 85-81-85.
"Mickey had a good round today," Biggs said. "She was pretty consistent overall. It was good to see her stay focused and earn honorable mention all-conference."
Chloe Sundet (sophomore, Urbandale, Waukee Northwest HS) carded a 93-84-85—262.
"She was solid today," Biggs said. "There were some putts that didn't fall like she wanted them. But overall, she was putting herself in good positions."
Bella Keaveny (sophomore, Hubbard, South Hardin HS) moved up three spots on the final day and closed out the weekend at 94-90-91—275.
"She had more pars on the score card which was great to see," Biggs said. "I'm glad she was able to get some confidence going into the spring."
