Pfantz moves up for Dutch at conference golf meet

Central shows big improvement on second day

LONG GROVE— A solid second round for sophomore Central College women's golfer Allie Pfantz (State Center, West Marshall HS) allowed her to move into fourth place at the American Rivers Conference Championships Sunday
           
As a team, Central dropped 16 strokes off its score from the first round with a 334. Central is now in eighth place with 350-334—684.
           
Pfantz carded a 79 Sunday to lead the Dutch. Mickey Martens (junior, Villa Park, Ill., Willowbrook HS) shot 81 and is now 19th. Chloe Sundet (sophomore, Urbandale, Waukee Northwest HS) is up to 34th place after shooting an 84. Bella Keaveny (sophomore, Hubbard, South Hardin HS) is in 40th after recording a 90.
           
The third and final round will tee off Monday morning at 10 a.m. from Glynns Creek.
