BLOOMINGTON, ILLINOIS — A short-handed Central College women's golf team competed with just three players at the Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University Saturday and Sunday.
The Dutch were not featured in the team score because it requires four players. Washington University – St. Louis (Mo.) won the team title 296-311—607. Julia Imal from the University of Wisconsin – Stout was the individual medalist with a 72-75—147.
Allie Pfantz (sophomore, State Center, West Marshall HS) was Central's top finisher with a two-day total of 79-84—163 to share 43rd place.
Mickey Martens (junior, Villa Park, Ill., Willowbrook HS) tied for 97th (89-89—178) and
Chloe Sundet (sophomore, Urbandale, Waukee Northwest HS) was tied for 101st (92-89—181).
Central hosts the Battle at Bos Landen next Sunday.
