JOHNSTON—Central College women's golf coach Mackenzie Biggs has had a busy summer of competing on the course at the Iowa Women's Amateur Championship and IGA Match Play Championship.
           
In the 102nd Iowa Women's Amateur Championship Division at the par-72 Hyperion Golf Club in Johnston, Biggs finished 35th after carding an 81-85-80—246. Yinuo Yan of Iowa State University was the individual medalist at 67-70-73—210.
           
At the IGA Match Play Championship hosted at Talons of Tuscany Golf Course in Ankeny, Biggs was bounced in the Round of 32 by No. 2 seed Erika Holmbeg 6&5. Holmberg recently finished her career at Drake University. Yan also went on to win this tournament.
           
Biggs was joined by current Dutch player Allie Pfantz (junior, State Center, West Marshall HS) at the Iowa Women's Amateur, finishing tied for 24^th in 85-78-79—242.
