NORMAL, ILLINOIS —Playing in her toughest tournament yet, Central College women's golf junior Allie Pfantz (State Center, West Marshall HS) added a third top 10 finish to her season resume at the Illinois Wesleyan Fall Classic Sunday.
           
Playing on the par-72 Ironwood Golf Course in Normal, Illinois, she had a 36-hole score of 77-73—150 to share 10th place. There was a three-way tie for first place with total scores of 143.
           
In the team standings, Illinois Wesleyan won by 24 strokes at 294-296—589. Central was 16th of 20 teams in 334-326—660.
           
Freshmen Jessie Lohman (freshman, Ames) and Mady Hamilton (freshman, Arvada, Colo., Forge Christian HS) both shaved multiple strokes off their day one scores for the second round. Lohman tied for 74th (85-82—167) and Hamilton tied for 91 st (87-83—170).  Senior Mickey Martens (senior, Villa Park, Ill., Willowbrook HS) shared 101st place (85-88—173).
           
Lineups at this tournament included six players. Chloe Sundet (junior, Urbandale, Waukee Northwest HS) and Emersyn Schultz (freshman, Ainsworth, Highland HS) did not count towards the team score either day, but both competed in the high-level field. Sundet tied for 112th (89-89—178) and Schultz was tied for 121 st (92-92—184).
           
Central's next varsity competition is the Viking Shootout hosted by Grand View University in Ankeny on October 5 and 6.
