PELLA — Tanner Finken (senior, Carroll) represents the Central College men's tennis team on the American Rivers All-Conference team released by the league office Thursday.

Finken was one of 12 players selected for their doubles play. The league office also named 12 all-conference singles list with significant overlap between the athletes on the two lists.

Junior Trey Melvin (Lawrence, Kan., Free State HS) and sophomore Nick Scott (Fort Benton, Mont., Great Falls Central Catholic HS) were listed as honorable mention selections. No distinction was given for honorable mention in regards to singles or doubles play.

Finken went 3-4 in conference doubles matches this spring. He was 8-12 in doubles matches overall, playing at No. 1 in all but three of the team's dual matches.

In conference play, Melvin was 5-3 in singles matches and 6-2 in doubles matches. Scott was 3-5 in doubles matches and 6-1 in singles matches.

Central finished the season 10-9 overall and placed fourth in the conference at a 5-3 mark.
