DECORAH — Facing off against the toughest team in the American Rivers Conference, the Central College men's tennis team lost to Luther College 7-0 Friday.
Central (3-13, 0-1 A-R-C) were held scoreless by Luther (12-2, 3-0 conference) for the fourth match in a row.
The Dutch gave the Norse a scare in a few spots.
Bodi Kortz (freshman, Wormerveer, Netherlands/St. Michael College) and
Alex Slaymaker (Junior, Geneseo, Ill.) fell 6-4 at No. 1 doubles. Slaymaker also kept in close in the opening set of No. 2 singles before losing 6-4, 6-0.
Central remains on the road for a 10 a.m. match at Wartburg College Saturday.
