Norwalk, Iowa
Class of 2025

1. Why did you chose Central?
I chose Central because I felt welcomed when I came on my visit. I felt like I belonged at Central College. I had alot of interest in this school because my parents attended Central. I knew I would have the opportunity to run at Central if I came. I felt like the school fit me really well and I never looked back from there.

2. Favorite professor and why?
Last year I took my LAS 110 with Dr. Tuan Nguyen. He was an awesome professor. He is really funny and I really enjoyed his class. He also helped me really improve my writing skills.

3. You’re majoring in Biochemistry because? (fill-in the blank with your major)
I really like chemistry, but my ultimate goal is to become a doctor. I like studying the human body even more than Chemistry. BioChem is just a great mix of both worlds.

4. Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?
I am a writing tutor and on the Scholte Hall Council, which plans events for Scholte Hall.

5. Who are your go-to musical artists?
My #1 artist is Drake. I love his stuff. J-Cole is awesome as well.

6. How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?
Being able to run cross country and track has given me amazing memories I am going to be able to carry with me for the rest of my life. Even more important than this is the relationships I’ve built with my teammates. My teammates make Central incredibly special and getting to know them has made my college experience amazing. I love having fun with all of them.

7.  If every time you entered a room, a theme song played, what would the song be?
My friends say Fire Burning by Sean Kingston

8. If you had to give up one of your five sense, which one would it be and why?
Definitely not taste, because I love food.

9. What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?
This past summer I went to Pitbull and that was really fun.

10. The field event you think you had the best chance to place in?
Pole vault. I don’t know if I’m strong enough but it looks like a lot of fun.

11. Favorite TV Show
Don’t have one

12. What’s it like to run for Coach Dunham?
I feel like I have a deep relationship with Coach Dunham. I know he’s supporting me all the time and this makes me a better runner. He’s also a really funny guy, which keeps the hard days fun.

13. What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central Cross Country?
Having a great family to surround myself with. It is also really fun to travel with the team I love staying overnight in hotels and getting to hangout with my teammates.

14.  What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
Practicing medicine

15. Favorite food from Central Market
Brisket Quesadillas is phenomenal. CTO Pancakes is a close second.

16. Bucket list
Travel
I would love to go back to Europe
