Why did you chose Central?

The summer before 6th grade I came to softball camp at Central and absolutely fell in love with the campus and the program. I told my dad after camp was over that I was going to go to Central to play softball. Then after more research I found out how amazing the athletic training program is here and I knew there was no where else that would be a better fit for me than Central.

Favorite professor and why?

Shelli Green. She is always pushing us to be our best and is always finding new ways to help us excel in the classroom and in the athletic training room.

Who are your go-to musical artists?

Shania Twain or Carrie Underwood, I have loved them both since I was little.

You’re majoring in athletic training because?

I am majoring in athletic training because I have always been fascinated with how the body moves and how it adapts when its injured and how it continues to adapt throughout the entire rehabilitation process. I also love working with different athletes and seeing their excitement as they notice the improvements they are making and when they are finally able to play their sport again makes me really happy.

If you could wake up tomorrow in the body of a different person, who would it be and what would you do?

I would be Jennie Finch because I have looked up to her since I was little. I would pitch to people who think that hitting a softball is easy and make them look ridiculous by striking them out.

Dream job

My dream job would be working as an athletic trainer for the MLB with the St Louis Cardinals or in the NFL.

If you could choose your age forever, what age would you choose and why?

I would pick around 7 or 8 years old. You didn’t have to worry about being an adult and paying bills or paying off student loans or anything and you got to take naps everyday. Sounds like a win-win situation to me.

What do you consider the most important furniture in the house?

I think my bed is the most important furniture in the house. Having a good place to sleep is very beneficial for everyone.

If you could live in a book, movie, or tv show, what would it be and why?

Friends. They are always having such a good time together and are each other’s #1 supporters and are always there when things go bad. Plus, it would be a lot of fun to live with them and be a part of all the shenanigans they get into.

Teammate who could win The Voice

Daria Parchert. Not only can she sing well, she would also put on a fabulous performance.

Favorite TV Show

Either Impractical Jokers, Criminal Minds or Friends.

What’s one thing people might not know about Coach Wares?

Before each payoff pitch, Coach will grab some dirt from beside his bucket and toss it to the side. He has a lot of superstitions that he has to do before each inning, pitch and at bat.

What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central Softball?

Its hard to pick one thing that is my favorite part. Being apart of Central Softball has given me so many wonderful things including friends that will last a lifetime. It has given me a family outside of my family that has been there for me through everything I have gone through these past 4 years. It has also taught me so many lessons that apply not only to softball but also will help me to be successful in my future.

“Ten years from now I’ll...”

Be practicing as an athletic trainer with a college or high school and hopefully have a house of my own and a dog.
