Why did you choose Central?

I chose Central because it allowed me to continue to play basketball and high jump in track while earning a great education and being close to home.

Favorite professor and why?

I don’t know if I have a favorite, but I’ve really enjoyed taking classes with Professor Butt, Professor Zaffiro, and Professor Siewert.

You’re majoring in environmental studies because?

I’m majoring in environmental studies because I’m passionate about things like agriculture, sustainability, natural resources, and conservation. I hope to find a career that allows me to enjoy what I’m doing while making a positive difference in the world.

Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?

Nothing else, I really only have time for basketball, track, and school!

Who are your go-to musical artists?

I’d say my top 4 are Polo G, Lil Tjay, Luke Combs, and Morgan Wallen!

How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?

I’ve made so many lasting friendships and memories by playing sports here at Central.
 
What’s the best advice you have ever gotten and from who?

I think my parents give some pretty good advice. They always just tell me to take life one day at a time and be present! That’s really helped me keep a positive mindset in my first two years here. 

What is your most favorite place on Earth and why?

Mount Pleasant will always be one of my favorite places on Earth because I have so many good memories from growing up there. This summer my family went on vacation to Oregon and seeing the Pacific Coast was awesome! It would be super cool to live out there some day.

If you could live in any TV show, which one would it be and why?

I would definitely choose to live in The Office. I’d love to mess with Dwight and talk to Kevin.

Teammate who could be a reality show star

I’m not really sure if we have any reality show stars on the basketball team, but if you made a documentary about last year's basketball season and what it was like to go to school during Covid, you would have a pretty good show!

Favorite TV Show

The Office! Breaking Bad and Yellowstone would probably tie for #2!

What’s it like to play for Coach Douma

I love playing for Coach Douma, he’s a great guy. It’s been fun the past couple years and I look forward to the rest of this season!

What’s your favorite part about being a member of the Central College men’s basketball team?
 
I’ve gotten to meet so many people over the past couple years and have had many positive experiences with my teammates which I’m very thankful for.

What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?

In 10 years hopefully I’ll have a career related to sustainable agriculture and have started a family either in Iowa or somewhere in the northwestern United States.

Favorite food from Central Market

Banh Mi and Brisket Quesadillas are my top 2. Jello Cake and Cookie Delight are my favorite desserts!
