Why did you chose Central?

Central College was always one of the top schools when it came to deciding where to go. It came down to that I wanted to follow in my family’s steps and continue the tradition we have of going here. The faculty and coaches made me feel right at home from the second I stepped on campus.

Favorite professor and why?

Dr. Sarah Sugar Fox! She is always so lively and keeps classroom discussion interesting. She does so in a professional manner which elevates the way she teaches. I mean how can she not be anyone’s favorite teacher after her amazing performance at Lip Sync!

You’re majoring in __________ because?

Exercise Science with endorsements in Health/P.E. and Coaching because this major combines my love for sports as well as my desire to want to help children become active and develop life-long fitness skills.

Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?

I stay involved in other activities through the education department especially by helping various groups with service learning projects and getting out into the awesome schools in our area!

Who are your go-to musical artists?

Depending on my mood it changes, but my top 5 are: Drake, Migos, Rihanna, Luke Combs, and Nickelback. Yes, Rihanna. Jaden Moody can attest to our Rihanna dance sessions!

What did you do for work and for fun in the summer of 2019?

I was able to accept a position out in South Carolina for the summer with the Youth Learning Institute which is sponsored by Clemson University. I filled the role as a counselor working with many different groups that we hosted. My two favorite groups were Camp Happy Days, a camp for kids who are diagnosed with cancer ages 4-16, and then Camp Reach, a camp that was for adults who have disabilities! I met many life-long friends down there and made many memories that I won’t be able to forget thanks to Central College.

Who do you admire the most?

The person that I admire the most would be my mother, Caleigh. I admire her the most because of her work ethic and the way that she holds herself to a high standard. She is always so happy and her willingness to help others is unmatched.

Dinosaurs or Dragons?

Tough choice, but I’m going to have to go with Dragons with my recent interest in Game of Thrones.

What is your hidden talent?

A hidden talent that many people may not know is that I am able to sing the Christmas song, “Silent Night” in Swedish. Weird flex, but not many people can say that unless you’re from Stanton, Iowa!

Subway or Jimmy John’s?

Subways is my favorite but by a slim margin. My go to sandwich is definitely footlong steak and cheese with green peppers and some chipotle southwest sauce. The cookies there are delicious and either go with raspberry cheesecake or M&M.

Favorite TV Show

I don’t watch too much T.V. however when I do you can usually find me catching up on sports with Sportscenter!

What’s it like to play for Coach Maiuri?

Playing for Coach Maiuri has been a great opportunity that I have been able to have these past years. He brings lots of energy to practice and is usually smiling a majority of the time. I really applaud his patience he has had with me and for shaping me into not only a good football player, but a better person.

What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central football?

Being a member of the Central football team has opened many doors for me and the greatest one I cherish is how close knit we are with one another. We have been through some good and bad times together and we have always found a way to persevere. Everyone’s willingness to help each other out is a great safety net to have if we ever need one. Whether that be having troubles with a class or just advice in a tough situation that you’re in.

What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?

In 10 years, I plan on beginning my family and teaching health/P.E. at whatever school hires me while also coaching the sport I love, football.

Favorite food from Central Market

I can’t wait for Fridays to come around the end of the week to enjoy a freshly cooked chicken wrap!

Bucket list

1. Sky Dive
2. Visit Yosemite National Park
3. Travel back to Switzerland
