Class of 2023
Why did you choose Central?
I initially chose Central because of my experience on my overnight visit for football. The players on the team and everyone across campus were very friendly. It made campus feel like a place I could call home.
Favorite professor and why?
My favorite professor is Professor Schlerman. I’ve had class with Professor Schlerman and have had her as my academic advisor for the four years that I have been here. Her classes are always enjoyable with a fun atmosphere and applicable content. She has also helped me a great deal with my hectic class schedule each semester.
You’re majoring in Business Administration because?Â
I chose to major in Business Administration after taking a couple high school business classes that I enjoyed a lot. To me, the classes covered content that would be useful in everyday life and would also help me with whatever career I chose to pursue after college.
Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?
For my first three years at Central, I was in the education program and I spent a lot of my time with Central Teacher Academy (CTA) in the area schools.Â
Who are your go-to musical artists?
Tyler Childers, Zach Bryan, Morgan Wallen, Nickelback
How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?
Attending Central and playing football has made me a more disciplined and open minded individual. Both in academics and athletics, Central has extremely high standards that have shaped me throughout my years here.
What is your number one pet peeve?
People being lazy
Why did you pick number 28?
I’ve worn the number 28 most of my life in sports, I think my initial reason for choosing it was because I was born on the 28th of November.
What was your dream job growing up?
Professional Lego Builder
Favorite TV Show
Peaky Blinders
What’s it like to play for Coach McMartin?
Playing for Coach Mac has been an amazing experience. He has created a culture that not only helps his players to be the best they can be on the field, but also off the field. It is just as important to Coach Mac that his players are respectable men around campus as it is to him that we win games on Saturdays. What I appreciate most about this is that Coach Mac is setting us up to be successful in our lives after football with our respective careers.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central Football?
Central Football has brought me some of my closest friends to this day and has allowed me to continue to compete as a part of a highly successful program.
What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
Ten years from now I hope that I’m back on my family farm doing whatever the given day brings.
