Why did you choose Central?

I chose Central because of the environment that is forged around building relationships with faculty and other students while being able to work jointly with professors inside and outside the classroom to become a skillful professional in my desired career. I also saw the opportunity to grow my work ethic and dilligence by becoming a student-athlete that has enlightened me with so many lessons.

Favorite professor and why?

My favorite professor would have to go to Crystal Bruntz because she brings the fire every day for her students even when she fakes it, which she says she does all the time. That just shows how passionate she is about her job and cares deeply about the success for others, even when her caffeine isn’t enough to push  her through the day.

You’re majoring in business management and accounting  because? 

I admire working with other people to execute a goal and have a mission in providing a product or service that’s going to assist  people in any way through business. Whether it’s working at first hand  with a customer or backstage, that’s something I see myself doing at a high level as a result of my Central education.

Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?

Intramural basketball, Student Athlete Advisory Committee, EAM club, Pickleball Club, Tennis

Who are your go-to musical artists?

Luke Combs and Kenny Chesney

How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?

Central College has impacted my life by allowing me to connect with individuals that have brought in different perspectives, challenging my  thinking for me to grow as a person in every aspect of life.

Which of the four majors would you chose to attend

I would choose to go to Wimbledon because I heard about a Central student studying abroad and speaking about the experience in London.

Favorite professional tennis player?

Rafael Nadal. Love his energy and passion for the game and I can’t forget about the immense fist pumps that I need to find the ideal time to pull off on the  court in this final season.

Teammate who belongs on a reality TV show

Lucas Vroom. The guy is not hesitant to speak his mind so you might get to hear it all from him.

What was your first detention for?

I have never had a detention before, but I did get sent to the principal's office in elementary school for getting into a quarrel with a kid who dared to say the Cyclones were better than the Hawkeyes.

What’s it like to play for Coach Ferrell?

Coach Ferrell brings the energy day in and day out  for his  team in order for us  to  look forward to walking into practice and competition on a mission to do something great and grow closer together as a team while doing it.

What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central tennis?

My favorite part has been getting to know the guys on the team and growing lifelong friendships that have gone further than just competing on the court with them.

What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?

I plan to stay in Iowa for a while after I graduate working as an accountant somewhere and potentially coaching tennis lessons on the side. Outside of working I want to volunteer my time for a church, travel to every away big ten football stadium, and spend time at the lake.
