WEST DES MOINES — Playing on the course which will host the American Rivers Conference Championships in three walks, the Central College men's golf team finished ninth off 11 teams.

In a one-day tournament on the par-71 Glen Oaks Golf Course in West Des Moines., the Dutch finished with a team total of 329. Luther College was the winning team at 305.

Central's Carter Yurgae (sophomore, West Des Moines, Dowling Catholic HS) and Bautista Valeiras (sophomore, Naples, Fla., Gulf Coast HS) both carded an 80 to tie for 21st and lead the Dutch.  Maison Brandt (sophomore, Byron, Ill.) followed with an 84 tie for 39th and Lincoln Eighmy (junior, Carlisle) had an 85 to tie for 43rd. Blake Wynn (senior, Milan, Ill., Sherrard HS) was the non-scoring member of the Dutch lineup with an 88.
           
The Dutch will travel to the Forester Spring Invitational hosted by Lake Forest College in Mundelein, Illinois on April 17 and 18.
