Dutch men’s tennis tandem wins twice at regional

Central puts a bow on men's tennis fall season

Box Score SAINT PETER, MINN. — The doubles pairing of Bodi Kortz (freshman, Wormerveer, Netherlands) and Alex Slaymaker (junior, Geneseo, Ill.) won a pair of matches at the ITA Division III Midwest Regional, advancing to the Round of 16 Saturday.
           
The tandem opened with an 8-4 win against Trent Devore and Henry Lambley of Cornell College. They followed up with an 8-6 win against Gage Becker and James Palmer of Loras College. They bowed out of the tournament with an 8-3 loss against Noah Hakim and Owen Skanse of Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.)
           
In singles action, Slaymaker lost 6-1, 6-1 against Devore while Kortz fell 6-0, 6-4 against Chase Lindwall of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
           
The Dutch men are done competing for the fall and will return to action January 31, 2026 for a match against Bethel University (Minn.) in Rochester.
