Box Score SAINT PETER, MINN.— A marathon win in the opening round of singles for Central College women's tennis player Jenna Mitsuko Mahoney (senior, Misawa, Japan, Robert D. Edgren HS) was the highlight of the program's appearance at the ITA Division III Midwest Regional this weekend.
           
Mahoney secured a 5-7, 7-6 (3), 10-6) victory over Marie Pelletier of Saint Catherine University (Minn.). She lost her second match to Shelby Roth of the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse 6-2, 6-4.
           
In doubles play, Emma Murphy (junior, Liberty, Mo.) and Lauren Gano (junior, Johnston) dropped an 8-1 match against the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater in their opening match. Rain washed out any consolation doubles matches to cut their trip short.
           
Central has a dual next Friday at Luther College at 4 p.m.
