PELLA—The United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Awards were released Friday and Central College was among 151 colleges and universities with both its men's and women's soccer squads honored.

It's the 14th consecutive year that the Dutch women's squad has earned the award and the 17th time overall. It's the 12th award for the Central men.
           
Teams must post a combined grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the 2024-25 academic year to qualify for the honor. Coach Garry Laidlaw's men's squad posted a 3.23 GPA while coach Mike Kobylinski's women's team was at 3.71.
           
Last fall, the men Dutch had 11 players named to the American Rivers Academic All-Conference squad while the women added eight.
