Fletcher and Briggs earn all-conference selection

Ramker and Wilkins cited for honorable mention


PELLA— Ayden Fletcher (senior, Waukee) and Jack Briggs (freshman, Pella) were named to the American Rivers All-Conference for the 2025 season.
           
There were 12 players selected for singles and doubles with significant overlap between the lists. Fletcher earned all-conference honors for both singles and doubles while Briggs was named for just singles.
           
This selection is Fletchers second consecutive selection to an all-conference team after he was noted for singles in 2024. In his singles matches in the No. 1 spot in the lineup he went 3-5 including a 7-5, 6-1 win against Coe Colleges No. 1 Bryton Short. In doubles matches he paired up with AJ Wilkins (senior, Grinnell) and went 4-4 in conference matches including winning against Wartburg College's No. 1 doubles team 7-6 (7-4) and taking A-R-C champion Luther Colleges top duo to a tiebreak before losing 7-6 (12-10).
           
Briggs earned an all-conference selection in his first collegiate season. Playing in the No. 2 spot in the lineup he went 5-2 in conference matches, including beating Wartburg's No. 2 Cade Davis 6-3, 6-1.
           
Wilkins and Benny Ramker (freshman, Waverly, Waverly-Shell Rock HS) were named as honorable mention, which included nine more players.
           
Wilkins went 6-2 in conference matches playing in the Nos. 2 and 3 spots in the lineup. He also won his match against Wartburg while also going to a third set tiebreak against Luther. Ramker was also cited in his first season, also going 6-2 in singles while also going 6-2 in doubles, being paired up with Briggs for the majority of the season.
           
The Dutch finished their season 12-14 and 6-2 in the conference. They advanced to the A-R-C semifinals before losing to the No. 2 seed Coe 4-0.
