DUBUQUE —The Central College men's tennis team lost its quarterfinal match in the American Rivers Conference tournament to Loras College 4-0 Tuesday.
           
Central (5-17) was on the brink of winning three different singles matches before Loras (13-9) scored the clinching point. The Duhawks advance to the semifinals on Thursday night.
           
Bodi Kortz (freshman, Wormerveer, Netherlands/St. Michael College), Ernest Alvarez Chedzoy (freshman, Kerrville, Texas, Tivy HS) and Gavin Jablonski (junior, Marshalltown) were all in tie-breaking sets during singles play that went unfinished.
