PELLA— For the third time in her career,
Grace Coates (senior, Marion) was selected as an American Rivers all-conference first team player.
Kylie Bloomstrom (freshman, Forest Lake, Minn., Forest Lake Ares HS),
Piper Eighmy (sophomore, Birmingham, Ala., Briarwood Academy) and
Zoey Sizemore (sophomore, Omaha, Neb., Mercy HS) were also selected as honorable mentions.
Coates scored two goals and added two assists in the squad's eight conference games. She also had 29 shots with 17 of those shots on goal both of which are top five in the conference.
Bloomstrom started all eight conference games and scored one goal and added two assists in her first collegiate season. She also had 11 shots on goal and played 579 minutes.
Eighmy scored five goals in conference play including three goals in a 6-0 win against Nebraska Wesleyan on Oct. 26. Her five goals were the third most in the conference and with 10 points she recorded the eighth most points in the conference. Eighmy also had two game winning goals.
Sizemore was selected as honorable mention all-conference for the second season in a row. Sizemore collected three shutouts in eight starts. She carried 1.01 goals against average which was good for fifth in the conference. She also collected 37 saves and had a .822 save percentage.
Central finished the season 11-6-2 and 3-3-2 in conference matches.
