Dutch up to No. 10 after 55-21 romp at Coe

PELLA—Central College inched up another spot to No. 10 in the American Football Coaches Association Division III Poll and the D3football.com Top 25.

The Dutch are 6-0 after rolling up a 55-21 road victory over Coe College Saturday in Cedar Rapids as quarterback Blaine Hawkins (fifth-year, Ankeny) threw for a school-record 503 yards.

Unbeaten North Central College (Ill.) tops both polls followed by the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (Texas). The Dutch climbed after then-No. 6 Wisconsin-Oshkosh was defeated 30-21 by then-No. 21 Wisconsin-La Crosse, which jumped to No. 14.

Central is off this week before playing host to Loras College Saturday, Oct. 23 in a 1 p.m. game at Ron and Joyce Schipper Stadium.
