PELLA—The American Rivers Conference released its all-conference football team Friday and a total of 10 players from the Central College squad were selected.
On defense, defensive tackle
Trent Cakerice (sophomore, Grundy Center), cornerback
Ben DeMeulenaere (senior, Chelsea, Belle Plaine HS) and cornerback
Gavin Smith (senior, Audubon) were all first-team choices. Linebacker
Cole Clark (fifth year, Lisbon) landed on the second team.
Offensively,
Maximus Reitano (senior, Grimes, Dallas Center-Grimes HS) and wide receiver
Cam Schulte (junior, Pella) were first-team selections. Running back
Jase Grunder (junior, Tampico, Ill., Prophetstown HS) quarterback Hunter Hoffman (senior, Pecatonica, Ill.) and offensive tackle
Tyler Harms (senior, Bondurant, Bondurant-Farrar HS) were named to the second team
Representing the specialists, long snapper
Connor Foulke (freshman, Peoria, Ariz., Sunrise Mountain HS) was a second team pick
Defensive tackle
Sebastian Duarte (senior, The Woodlands, Texas) and wide receiver
Keegan Glover (senior, Benton, Ill.) also received honorable mention
Central posted an overall 8-2 record and went 6-2 American Rivers to finish third.
