PELLA—Recording a season-high 14 tackles against Coe College Saturday, Central College defensive tackle Trent Cakerice (sophomore, Grundy Center) was picked for the D3football.com Team of the Week.
           
Amongst his 14 tackles, Cakerice had a pair of solo sacks and an additional solo tackle-for-loss for a total of 3.0 TFL's. He also tipped a first down pass in the air for Dutch safety Derek Pacheco (senior, Litteton, Colo., ThunderRidge HS) to intercept.
           
It's the fourth time a Central player has been selected for the D3football.com Team of the Week in 2025.
           
Central finished its season at 8-2 overall and 6-2 in the American Rivers Conference.
