Why did you chose Central?
I chose central because of the family-like atmosphere, it felt like a home away from home. I liked the small class sizes and how much the professors care about their students’ success. I also chose central because of the softball program. The coaches, history, and traditions really stuck out to me and I couldn’t find anything like it anywhere else.
Favorite professor and why?
My favorite professor is Professor Pavlat because he challenges me in the classroom. He also cares about every one of his students outside of academics.
You’re majoring in Exercise Science because?
I am majoring in Exercise Science because I want to be a Speech and Language Pathologist (probably for children but that is always subject to change).
Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?
FCA
Who are your go-to musical artists?
I don’t have a “go-to” musical artist. I am the type of person who will just listen to anything that’s on. But if I had to choose just one it would be the Jonas Brothers.
How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?
Attending Central and playing softball has impacted my life in many different ways. It has given me an opportunity to grow out of my comfort zone, shown me how much of a leader I can really be, and given me so many opportunities for the future. Central and playing softball has connected me with so many amazing people all over and I am forever grateful for that!
What was your first detention for?
In third grade, I was talking over the teacher while he was reading a book. I had to copy a dictionary, in cursive, for an hour after school.
Teammate you’d take on the Amazing Race with you
The teammate I’d take with me on the amazing race would be Franie Burnett.
What is the first thing you’d do after winning the lottery?
I would be taking a trip to Bora Bora for sure.
Favorite place to eat off campus in Pella?
Either El charro or Yamato.

What’s it like to play for Coach Wares
Coach Wares has pushed me further than I ever thought possible, and has helped me grown both on and off the filed. He has had a huge impact on who I am today.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of the softball team at Central College?
My favorite part about being a member of the Central College softball team is the memories and lifelong friendships. This program has made me step out of my comfort zone and has made me so much more confident in myself on and off the field!
What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
In 10 years I hope to be a successful speech and language pathologist and married.
Favorite food from Central Market
Hands down… popcorn chicken sundaes and fresh cookie Tuesday (chocolate chip of course).
