ALLENDALE, MICHIGAN — A strong day two helped the Central College men's golf team climb into second place at the Bob Ebels Invitational hosted by Hope College (Mich.) Saturday.
The Dutch had a two-day total of 303-300—603. Trine University (Ind.) was the winning team at 295-290—585. Ethan Tiller of Calvin University (Mich.) was the individual medalist in 72-70—142.
Carter Yurgae (sophomore, West Des Moines, Dowling Catholic HS) was once again Central's best individual, tying for second place in 7372—145. He was given the fourth-place medal after a card back.
Blake Wynn (senior, Milan, Ill., Sherrard HS) was next for Central, sharing 12th place in 74-78—152.
Lincoln Eighmy (junior, Carlisle) was eight strokes better on his second day and tied for 22nd (81-73—154).
Bautista Valeiras (sophomore, Naples, Fla., Gulf Coast HS) tied for 29th (78-77—155) and
Maison Brandt (sophomore, Byron, Ill.) shared 55th (78-84—162).
Central travels to Mundelein, Illinois next weekend for the Forester Spring Invitational hosted by Lake Forest College (Ill.)
