PELLA — Two weeks after he won the pole vault at the 2026 American Rivers Indoor Track & Field Conference Championships, freshman
Kyle Rogers (freshman, Elburn, Ill., Kaneland HS) was added as the league's Co-Rookie of the Year Thursday.
Rogers cleared the bar at 14 feet, 3.5 inches to win the pole vault at the league championships on February 28. His season-best clearance of 15-3 came on February 21 at Wartburg College's Liz Wuertz Invitational. His mark is the third best in Dutch men's indoor history.
He shares the award with the previously recognized Reed Esmick of Nebraska Wesleyan University.
Central hosts its home track and field meet Saturday.
