PELLA — The Central College track and field and cross country programs combined for 12 student-athletes on the College Sports Communicator Division III Academic All-District teams Tuesday morning.
To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must be a starter or key reserve at the varsity level and achieve a 3.50 or better cumulative grade point average. Institutions are limited to six nominees per gender.
Olivia Bohlen (senior, Belle Plaine), Emily McMartin (senior, Pella) and Alivia Roerdink (junior, Tiffin, Ohio, Hopewell-Loudon HS) are all repeat selections.
Teah Miller (junior, Iowa Falls, Iowa Falls-Alden HS), Alivia Roerdink (sophomore, Tiffin, Ohio, Hopewell-Loudon HS) and
Peyton Steffen (senior, Marion) are all first-time honorees.
Jack Brown (junior, Norwalk),
Kale Hobart (junior, Mason City) and
Gunner Meyer (senior, Fairbank, Wapsie Valley HS) are all repeat selections.
Gage Huyser (senior, Pella), Kale Purcell (fifth year, Holton, Kan.) and
Gavin Smith (senior, Audubon) are all first-time honorees.
Bohlen, Brown, Huyser, Hobart, Meyer, Smith and Steffen advanced to the Academic All-American voting process.
