PELLA — In the latest edition of the National Wresting Coaches Association's Division III team rankings released Friday, the Central College men's wrestling team is No. 8 in the dual poll.
The Dutch (13-5) slipped to No. 20 in the tournament team rankings, a spot they share with three other programs.
Pierre Baldwin (junior, Carol Stream, Ill., West Chicago HS) is down to No. 4 at 141 pounds.
Cade Siebrecht (senior, Lisbon) stayed at No. 8 at 149 pounds.
Eight more Central wrestlers were featured in the regional rankings at their weight classes.
Carter West (sophomore, Burlington, Notre Dame HS) is No. 4 at 125 pounds,
CJ Davis (freshman, West Burlington, Notre Dame HS) is No. 6 at 133 pounds,
Christian Stanek (junior, Cedar Rapids, Xavier HS) is No. 5 at 157 pounds,
Shane Hanford (freshman, Melbourne, West Marshall HS) is No 8 at 165 pounds,
Abe Bushong (freshman, Pleasant Hill, Southeast Polk HS) is at No. 5 at 174 pounds,
Cole Martin (freshman, Nevada, Ames HS) is No. 6 at 184 pounds,
Sam West (senior, Burlington, Notre Dame HS) is No. 4 at 197 pounds and
Jamal Neeway (freshman, Waukee, Northwest HS) is No. 6 at 285 pounds.
The Dutch have their final dual of the season next Thursday at Simpson College in Indianola.
