Cade Siebrecht (senior, 149 pounds, Lisbon) became Central College's first American Rivers Conference Most Valuable Performer in men's wrestling since 1992 when the league announced postseason honors Thursday.
All-conference honors were handed out to the top-three finishers amongst league competitors at the NCAA Division III Region VI Championships meet that took place on February 27-28. In addition to the nine teams from the American Rivers Conference, the regional meet featured nine other programs.
After winning the 141-pound regional title, Siebrecht rattled off four straight wins to became a national championship.
Pierre Baldwin (senior, 141 pounds, Chicago, Ill., West Chicago HS) and
Samuel West (senior, 197 pounds, Burlington, Notre Dame HS) both finished third in their respective classes to also earn all-conference status.
Siebrecht shared the league's Most Valuable Performer with two other national champions from Wartburg College.
