NORMAL, ILL.— Putting together a pair of solid rounds, Central College women's golfer
Allie Pfantz (sophomore, State Center, West Marshall HS) finished tied for ninth at the Illinois Wesleyan Fall Golf Classic Sunday.
The tournament was held at the par-72 Ironwood Golf Course in Normal, Illinois. As a team, Central finished 18th (336-340—676) while the hosts scored the team title (297-298—595). Becky Williams of DePauw University (Ind.) secured medalist honors at 72-67—139.
Pfantz led the Dutch with a two-day score of 76-75—151. Those were two best rounds of the fall and her best finish so far this year. It's her second top-10 finish of the season.
Mickey Martens (junior, Villa Park, Ill., Willowbrook HS) finished tied for 88th (86-86—172),
Chloe Sundet (sophomore, Urbandale, Waukee Northwest HS) was tied for 90th (86-87—173),
Taylor Davis (Verona, Wis., Verona Area HS) was 109th (88-93—181) and
Bella Keaveney (sophomore, Hubbard, South Hardin HS) was tied for 112th (92-92—184)
Central wraps up its regular season with a trip to Storm Lake for the Buena Vista Invitational.
