ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS — Central College women's track and field middle distance runner
Teah Miller (sophomore, Iowa Falls, Iowa Falls-Alden HS) had a pair of strong races Friday night at the Augustana Meet of Champions.
There were no team scores kept at the event with over 35 teams in attendance.
Miller had a runner-up finish in the women's 1,500 meters, clocking in at 4 minutes, 50.05 seconds. She was also 16th in the 800 meters (2:26.90). Teammate
Riley Packer (junior, Erie, Ill.) was seventh in the 800 meters (2:21.19).
Amber Vroman's (senior, Seneca, Ill.) fourth-place pole vault (11-3.75) and
Jasmyn Williams's (junior, Denver, Colo., Arvada West HS) sixth-place triple jump (17-1.25) gave the Dutch women four top-10 finishes.
On the men's side,
William Wadsley (sophomore, Gilbert) took sixth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 9:29.97. That time was top-50 in Division III entering the weekend.
Fifth-year senior
Kaleb Brand (Mount Vernon) also had a sixth-place finish, clocking in at 1:55.84 in the 800 meters.
Central will be competing next week at the Drake Relays in Des Moines and the Kip Janvrin Open in Indianola.
