Central remains in NFCA top 20 after opening weekend

The team will play Hanover March 12


After an opening weekend that saw the Central College softball team finish 2-2 and picking up a win against No. 20 ranked Calvin College, The Dutch fell back in the NFCA rankings to No. 16.
           
The team picked up two wins behind complete games from Emma Beck (junior, Holland, Grundy Center HS) including scoring eight runs in the sixth inning against Calvin.
           
There are no other American Rivers teams in the rankings this week and East Texas Baptist University remains ranked No. 1.
           
The Dutch will return to the field when they travel to Louisville Kentucky and take on Hanover College (Ind.) March 12 with a double header starting at 4 p.m. EST.
