PELLA—Junior catcher Rylee Dunkin (junior, Hamilton, Twin Cedars HS) of the Central College softball team was announced as a member of the NFCA Division III Region IX Team in consecutive seasons Friday afternoon.
           
Dunkin, a second team honoree, leads the Dutch with a .366 batting average. She also has a team-high 45 hits, 52 runs scored and four home runs. Catching every inning of the season, Dunkin has thrown out 12 runners of 51 attempted steals. She's registered 170 putouts and 28 assists with just one error, a fielding percentage of .995
           
Central has a 29-13 record and is competing in an NCAA Division III Regional in Indianola, Iowa. The Dutch are making a record 34th NCAA tourney appearance.
           
Players from the NFCA's 10 regions were honored. The NFCA All-America squads will be announced May 27 at the NCAA Division III Finals in Salem, Virginia.
