PELLA — In the first National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III rankings of the regular season released Friday, Central is tied for 24th in the tournament team poll.
Pierre Baldwin (junior, Carol Stream, Ill., West Chicago HS) is No. 3 at 141 pounds after being ranked there in the preseason.
Sam West (senior, Burlington, Notre Dame HS) debuts at No .12 at 197 pounds.
Four more Central wrestlers were featured in the regional rankings at their weight classes.
Dominick Marre (sophomore, Carol Stream, Ill., Glenbard North HS) is No. 3 at 125 pounds,
Carter West (sophomore, Burlington, Notre Dame HS) is No. 4 at 133 pounds,
Cade Siebrecht (senior, Lisbon) is No 3 at 149 pounds, C
hristian Stanek (junior, Cedar Rapids, Xavier HS) is No. 4 at 157 pounds,
Cole Martin (freshman, Nevada, Ames HS) is No. 5 at 184 pounds and
Hayden Hearne (senior, Urbandale HS) is No. 6 at 285 pounds
Central is participating in the Augsburg Invitational Saturday in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
