INDIANOLA — A small contingent of Central College women's wrestlers started the season off at the Luther Hill Invitational Saturday.

Just eight Dutch women were in action Saturday in the season-opening meet that had no team scores.

Adalia Del Real (freshman, Grain Valley, Mo.) had a strong debut for Dutch in the Varsity 180-pound Division. She went 3-2, winning twice by fall.

In the Varsity 131-pound bracket, Julia Kanne (sophomore, Auburn, Carroll HS) went 1-2 in her first appearance in a Central singlet, winning in the second consolation round by fall.

Central is headed to Iowa City for the All-Iowa Duals hosted by the University of Iowa on Sunday. The Dutch first wrestle Cornell College at 2 p.m. followed immediately by a dual against the Hawkeyes inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
