INDIANOLA  — The Central College women's wrestling season ended Saturday as senior 138-pounder Esther Belzer (Kalona, Hillcrest Academy) was eliminated in the consolation brackets of the NCAA Women's Wrestling Region V Championships.

In the first official NCAA championship for women's wrestling, Belzer and the Dutch competed in a 15-team regional including the University of Iowa and Division II and III programs. Central finished in 14th with six points.

Belzer was defeated by the No. 6 seed Savannah Frelfeld of Buena Vista University in a 10-0 technical fall in her final match.
