PELLA — With the Central College men's wrestling team set to start competing Saturday, the preseason National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III rankings were released Monday and
Pierre Baldwin (junior, Carol Stream, Ill., West Chicago HS) is No. 3 at 141 pounds
Baldwin is a two-time national qualifier who finished sixth at last year's national meet. He went 25-4 as a junior, winning the Lower Midwest Regional. His career record is now 84-15.
Four more Central wrestlers were featured in the regional rankings at their weight classes.
Dominick Marre (sophomore, Carol Stream, Ill., Glenbard North HS) is No. 4 at 125 pounds,
Carter West (sophomore, Burlington, Notre Dame HS) is No. 6 at 133 pounds,
Cade Siebrecht (senior, Lisbon) is No 5 at 149 pounds and
Sam West (senior, Burlington, Notre Dame HS) is No. 2 at 184 pounds.
Central competes at the Luther Hill Invitational hosted by Simpson College Saturday and has its first dual at Nebraska Wesleyan University on Wednesday, November 5.
