BLOOMINGTON, ILLINOIS—
Parker Stout (senior, Lowden, North Cedar) shot a career best 36-hole score leading the Central College women's golf team at the Illinois Wesleyan Fall Classic.
Stout finished with a 75-78 – 153 and in a tie for 15th place.
"I am proud of how smart she played all weekend," coach
Tabitha Schumacher said.
The Dutch shot 319-334–653 as a team finishing in 13th place. Washington University – St. Louis (Mo.) won the golf tournament with a team score of 285-296–581, which was held at par-72 Ironwood Golf Course.
"We got off to a horrible start, way too many double and triple bogeys." Schumacher said. "We have to put the round behind us and look ahead to next weekend. I know this team is capable of going low, but right now, they need to believe it as well."
Allie Pfantz (freshman, State Center, West Marshall) finished in 48th place with a 76-84 – 160. Not far behind Pfantz was
Jaden Smith (junior, Marengo, Iowa Valley) who shot 82-86–168.
