DES MOINES— Running the third-fastest mark in program history, the Central College women's track and field team's distance medley relay team won the Iowa College division Saturday morning at the Drake Relays.
Leah Bontrager (sophomore, Wellman, Hillcrest Academy), Alivia Roerdink (freshman, Tiffin, Ohio, Hopewell-Loudon HS), Sara Goodenbour (junior, Cedar Falls) and
Addison Parrott (junior, Danville) combined for the DMR victory in a time of 12 minutes, 23.83 seconds.
Central also sent a men's team into the Iowa College division and it finished second in 10:16.59. An all-freshman contingent of
William Wadsley (Gilbert), Blake Creed (Washington, Mid-Prairie HS), Mason Back (Winterset) and
Jack Brown (Norwalk) represented the Dutch.
In the University/College Division, Central's men's shuttle hurdle relay team of
Grant Miller (sophomore, Norwalk), Gage Huyser (sophomore, Pella), Connor Miklos (senior, Lockport, Ill., Providence Catholic HS) and
Reid Pakkebier (junior, Cedar Rapids, Kennedy HS) was seventh in 1:00.56
Central has its final meet of the regular season next Friday in a triangular Wartburg College.
