PELLA—The Central College Golf Coaching Clinic will be staged Saturday, March 5 at P.H. Kuyper Gymnasium.
Led by Central men's golf coach
Mel Blasi and Robert Fessler, Pella High School boys' golf coach, the clinic is set for 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Check-in starts at 9:30 a.m. in the Poortinga Family Suite near the building entrance.
The clinic features sessions on golf coaching policy and organization, skill development, important coaching attributes and updates on USGA and Iowa high school rules. There will also be time for open discussion. The clinic will feature primarily classroom sessions with some hands-on instruction in the building's hitting center.
Cost is $75 and includes a coach's booklet, lunch and gift.

Central has a powerful men's golf tradition with a record 32 conference championship and 33 NCAA Division III Championships appearances.
Blasi is in his fourth season at Central after 21 years as head coach at Western Illinois University, where he also served as director of golf operation at the university's Harry Mussatto Golf Course.
