Why did you choose Central?
I knew I wanted to go to a smaller school closer to home but I also wanted to play softball and compete at a high level. I wanted a program that was going to push me but also help me grow as a person through my 4 years and that’s exactly what Central softball has done for me!
Favorite professor and why?
Although I love all of my soc professors, I would have to choose Professor Jon Witt. I’ve taken lots of classes with him and he’s knowledgeable and makes classes fun! He brings fun energy to class, and cares about his students beyond the classroom.
You’re majoring in sociology because?
I’ve always been interested in exploring why people do what they do and what factors of society have shaped them into who they are or how they act. I’ve also always seen the need to help people and sociology opens the door for various helping fields.
Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?
I do work study in the Sports Equipment room!
Who are your go-to musical artists?
Cody Johnson is my #1 for sure. Close behind him are Anne Wilson and Toby Keith
How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?
Central has blessed me with some incredible people both on and off the field and relationships that I will have forever. I have grown more confident in my four years and grown more as a person and an athlete more than I could ever imagined. I have learned how to balance academics, athletics, and a social life and that’s something that I will bring with me after I graduate.
What is a movie that deserves a sequel and hasn’t gotten one?
Elf- Buddy’s life with his family has got to be a good plot for a movie!!
Best travel memory with the softball team?
It’s so hard to pick one because the memories I have made are all so special! To highlight a few I would have to pick the Super Regional in Oregon, experiencing Costa Rica with my teammates, playing games before softball games and during hotel downtime, and singing songs together from moo!
Worst summer job you’ve ever had?
I’ve fortunately loved all my summer jobs!!

What’s it like to play for Coach Wares?
Playing for Coach Wares is challenging, humbling, rewarding, exciting, intense and the list goes on. You are always going to know where you stand as a player for Coach Wares and you will always have full transparency with him. He also cares about you beyond the field and helps to grow you as a person for the outside world. He and the other coaches have pushed me to limits I never thought were achievable and I am a stronger and more confident person because of it.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of the Central softball team?
My favorite part about CCSB is how I have grown as an athlete and as a person. I have come out of my shell so much in 4 years and have developed into a more confident and better version of myself. Central Softball is truly like no other and I know it’s cliche but I mean it when we say we are a family. We are there to pick each other up but also hold each other accountable. I couldn’t imagine being surrounded by any better humans these last 4 years. It is truly the best, seriously!
What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
I hope to have a family and be working in a helping profession of some sort. I hope to have traveled a little bit and love the life that I have!
