Why did you chose Central?
I choose Central because of the family-like environment. Everyone is so kind at Central, and I wanted a small school experience where I could build meaningful relationships with my friends, professors, and coaches.
Favorite professor and why?
I have to say it’s a tie between Professor Olin and Professor Witt. Professor Olin makes every single history class he teaches interesting and exciting. It’s always a good class when he starts out by saying “I went down a rabbit hole the other day…”. And Professor Witt is the kindest professor you will ever meet, she truly embodies what Central is about.
You’re majoring in history with secondary education because?
I am majoring in History with Secondary Education because I enjoy being around kids and want to help build them a successful future in whatever they choose to do. I also want to spark an interest in learning about History because I think it’s the most interesting subject, and there is a lot to learn from it.
Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?
I am a part of the CTA program which provides me an extra opportunity to be in the classroom more before I student teach.
Who are your go-to musical artists?
I like just about every kind of music, but I do love to listen to Coldplay, Kacey Musgraves, and Taylor Swift.
How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?
Since I do track and volleyball at Central, it has kept me super busy, so I have learned to manage my time. Most importantly, it let me meet a wide variety of lifelong friends. Coach Fuller also has made a huge impact on my life helping me to be not only a better athlete, but to be a better person and future coach.
What language do you wish you could speak?
Italian, so I can go to Italy without any language barriers.
Describe your perfect pizza?
This may be controversial, but I can’t get enough of pineapple pizza.
All-time favorite Disney movie
The Lion King or Tangled. Both have amazing plots and music.
Teammate destined for Reality TV
Ruth Hruska-Kelley. No explanation needed, you just gotta meet her and you’ll know.
Favorite TV Show
New Girl or Game of Thrones. Depending on the mood, but both are incredible shows.
What’s it like to play for Coach Czipri?
She is a high-energy coach that will always push you to try new things to make you a better player. She also believes heavily in the mental game, so we do lots of activities to build that up.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central volleyball?
The community. I feel like I’ve gained a lot of lifelong friendships from the program, and couldn’t ask for a more goofy, fun-loving, team. Everyone on that team has their own unique personality, and I absolutely love it.
What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
I hope in 10 years that I will have a fantastic teaching job, be a high school coach, own a house, own a miniature garden, and perhaps own a cat or two.
