PELLA—With three freshmen and three sophomores in the top seven, the Central College women's cross country team were the champions at the Central Dutch Invitational Friday night.
           
Maddy Stevens (sophomore, Grimes, Dallas Center-Grimes HS) was the individual champion of the 5,000-meter race in 19 minutes, 19.3 seconds. Central won the team crown with 25 points. Grinnell College was second with 25 points.
           
Senior Teah Miller (Iowa Falls, Iowa Falls-Alden HS) was second overall in 19:48.2 Sophomores Addie Doughan (Clear Lake) and Brynn Wilson (Huxley, Ballard HS) were eighth (20:41.4) and 10th (20:46.7) overall for Central.
           
Audrey Dummermuth (Johnston) was Central's top freshman, taking fourth overall in 20:19.6. Addison Dabroski (Marion) and Addison Dooley (Grimes, Dallas Center-Grimes HS) were just outside the scoring portion of the lineup for the Dutch, placing 12th and 14th overall.
           
The Dutch continue their season next Saturday at the Les Duke Invitational hosted by Grinnell College at 9:30 a.m.
