PELLA — Recording its third home sweep of the season, the Central College volleyball team made light work of Monmouth College Wednesday evening.
The Dutch (9-4) topped the Fighting Scots (3-9) 25-16, 26-21, 25-10.
Middle hitter
Kaitlyn Mumm (senior, Waukee, Des Moines Christian HS) had another fantastic night for the Dutch recording 12 kills on just 16 attempts for a .750 hitting percentage.
Defensive specialist
Cecilia Klein (freshman, West. St. Paul, Minn., Cretin-Derham Hall HS) had a season-high five aces for the Dutch, who had 11 in the match as a team. Central has reached double figures of service aces five times on the year.
Landry Pacha (senior, setter, Wellman, Mid-Prairie HS) filled the stat sheet with 14 set assists, 10 digs and seven kills. Setter
Grace Corey (Watertown, S.D.) also had 26 assists. Libero
Emily Brunson (sophomore, Marion) led the team with 13 digs.
The Dutch are in Grinnell Saturday for matches against Grinnell College and Alverno College (Wis.).
