PELLA—Central College was among 75 colleges and universities with both its men's and women's soccer squads honored with Friday's release of the United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Awards.

It's the 15th consecutive year that the Dutch women's squad has earned the award and the 18th time overall. It's the 13th award for the Central men.
           
Teams must post a combined grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the 2025-26 academic year to qualify for the honor. Coach Garry Laidlaw's men's squad posted a 3.27 GPA while coach Mike Kobylinski's women's team was at 3.67.
