PELLA — The start list for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships was released Friday and Central College will once again be strongly represented.

The national meet is to be held in La Crosse, Wisconsin Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Dutch have 11 entries and 14 qualified student-athletes.

Three Central men's athletes are in the decathlon: Kale Hobart (junior, Mason City) with 7,580 points, Gavin Smith (senior, Audubon) with 6,809 points and Gage Huyser (senior, Pella) with 6,750 points. Additional male entries are Gunner Meyer (senior, Fairbank, Wapsie Valley HS) in the 110-meter hurdles (13.71 seconds), Jack Brown (junior, Norwalk) in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (8 minutes, 49.10 seconds) and Lance Bunde (sophomore, Guthrie Center, ACGC HS) in the high jump (6 feet, 9 inches).

Olivia Bohlen (senior, Belle Plaine) is in the women's heptathlon with 5,316 points. Peyton Steffen (senior, Marion) has a qualifying mark in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (10:17.90 and 5,000 meters (16:36.76). Sage Austin (junior, Carlisle) will make her national debut in the javelin throw (140-9). The 4x400-meter relay team of Alivia Roerdink (junior, Tiffin, Ohio, Hopewell-Loudon HS), Emily McMartin (senior, Pella), Kennedy Petersen (freshman, Story City, Roland-Story HS) and Ava Parkins (junior, Monmouth, Ill., Burlington Notre Dame [Iowa] HS) made it in with a time of 3:46.33. Roerdink also got in the 400-meter dash (55.93 seconds).
