PELLA— Recent Central College women's track and field graduate
Olivia Bohlen (Belle Plaine) became the first student-athlete in school history to be chosen in the same sport three times as a College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-America®.
To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must be a starter or key reserve at the varsity level and achieve a 3.50 or better cumulative grade point average. Being selected for the Academic All-District team is also a prerequisite. Selections were made based on accolades from the cross country and track and field seasons.
Bohlen was named a first team Academic All-American® after being tabbed for second team in 2024-25 and third team in 2023-24.
Her latest accolade adds to an impressive list of accomplishments in the classroom and as an athlete. The national champion in the heptathlon at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships finished her kinesiology degree with a 4.0 GPA. She was awarded an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship in April.
As a school, Central has now had 69 student-athletes receive CSC Academic All-America® honors 91 times.
