Central still No. 23 in softball rankings

Dutch stagant in national poll

PELLA — The Central College softball team remains at No. 23 in the NFCA/GoRout Division III Top 25 Coaches Poll released Tuesday after a busy six-game week.
           
The Dutch (22-6) went 4-2 last week, including a split with No. 11 Simpson College.
           
Virginia Wesleyan University remains the unanimous No. 1 team while Trine University (Ind.) and Saint Mary's University (Minn.) round out the top three.
           
Central hosts Wartburg College Tuesday at 2 p.m. The Knights are receiving votes and just outside of the top 25.
